Kodo millet recipe preparation steps
STEP 1 : Let VEYR Varagu millet soak for 30 minutes. Cook in a large pot with water and salt in a medium flame until all the water gets absorbed. Cover and simmer until completely cooked. Fluff gently with a fork and let it cool completely.
STEP 2 : Heat a pan with oil. Add mustard, when they begin to splutter, add VEYR Channa dhal, VEYR urad dhal, peanuts and red chiily, When the dhal turns golden, add curry leaves, ginger and green chilly.
STEP 3 : Saute and add VEYR Turmeric and asafoetida. Pour 3 to 4 tbsp of water and cook until water evaporates. When the dhal softens, turn off the heat. Add cooled Varagu millet and squeeze in the lemon juice and mix everything.
